EPEE General Assembly

AREA President Graeme Fox took part in the panel discussion on "The F-Gas Review: What role in climate change" at the occasion of EPEE General Assembly meeting on 23rd May 2012. In his opening statement, Mr. Fox stressed the importance of energy efficiency as the key driver for refrigerant's choice. He also presented AREA proposals to improve the F-Gas Regulation (e.g. ban on pre-charging of non-monobloc air conditioning equipment, inclusion of mobile refrigeration or lowering of the refrigerant's threshold). Finally, he reminded about the necessity of ensuring energy efficiency and safety of RACHP systems working with natural refrigerants thanks to properly qualified contractors.
