As Europe accelerates the transition towards low-GWP and alternative refrigerants, the success of the new F-Gas Regulation depends not only on technology, but also on people.
At Chillventa 2026, AREA will bring together industry experts to discuss one of the sector's most pressing challenges: ensuring that technicians and engineers across Europe have access to the training, certification and skills needed to work safely and effectively with alternative refrigerants. Topics will include capacity building, certification schemes, safety considerations, natural and flammable refrigerants, and the role of workforce development in achieving EU climate goals.
As AREA President Stepan Stojanov explains:
Chillventa is a key meeting point for our industry, bringing together expertise, innovation, and practical solutions at a time of profound technological and regulatory change. For AREA and its members, it is an important opportunity to exchange knowledge and highlight the essential role of properly trained and certified contractors in delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable cooling, air-conditioning, and heat pump solutions. We look forward to joining the international RACHP community in Nuremberg and contributing to the discussions shaping the future of our sector.
📍 Join AREA's forum session: "The Future of RAC Training and Certification in the EU" on 14 October 2026 at Chillventa, where leading experts from Europe and beyond will share practical perspectives on implementing the new F-Gas requirements and strengthening skills across the sector.
