This Sunday 26 June, AREA and its members will be celebrating World Refrigeration Day 2022.

This year’s theme is "Cooling Matters". “Our objective is to make the public aware of cooling’s essential benefits, how cooling impacts daily life, and how technology choices foster environmental well-being of future generations.” Steve Gill, founder of World Refrigeration Day.

We are delighted to share some activities that AREA members are hosting on and around this key day for our sector:

SOSIAD

On 23th of June, SOSIAD organises a meeting in Istanbul that draws attention to the importance of climate change and refrigeration.

Presentations titled "Climate Change/Where is the World Going?, Combating Climate Change and Green Transformation, Food and Refrigeration" will be delivered. Program available below (in Turkish).

 

SKVPAs Sweden is preparing to celebrate midsummer on Friday 24th of June, it doesn’t mean they forget about the #WREFD22.

In an article on KYL website, our Swedish members highlight that the most important industry has its own day and the important role that the industry will play in the green transition.

 

CNICNI organises three Technical Conferences about “Refrigerant gas trends in Europe and evolution of the Cool market for a better future” on :

•    24th of June in Puertollano, Ciudad Real, 
•    1st of July in Granada and
•    8th of July in Rentería, Guipuzcoa

AEFYTOn 27th of June, AEFYT, in cooperation with other business associations as AFAR and AFEC, is organising a two hours virtual event.

The event is called “EL FRÍO IMPORTA – COLD MATTERS” and will be focusing on “Cold matters. Value of the sector. Institutional vision. Challenges of the sector. Is refrigeration invisible? Take a look HERE 

 

NVKLOn 30th of June, NVKL is organising an event “Cooling Matters” together with partner associations KNVvK, Binnenklimaat NL, STEK and education centers Go and Post HBO Koudetechniek.

The event that focusses on “refrigeration on the way to a sustainable future” with several sessions/presentations to inspire and inform the sector. More information HERE

 

FRIXISFRIXIS shared a promotional video around the profession and the industry and encouraged followers to pread the word & WIN a nice prize!

DKV

DKV published a Facebook and LinkedIn celebrating the cooling and heating industry. 

The posts highlight some of the cooling and heating industry’s contributions to society in a short video by former climate spokesman for the Social Democrats, Jens Joel : "It is the politicians who set the guidelines and goals for the climate, but it is the refrigeration technicians who make the real difference to the climate in their work."

 

ATFOn 22nd of June, Centro Studi Galileo organised a super-webinar that focused on the increasingly important role that refrigeration plays in our everyday life.

On 30th of June, ATF and CSG will organise a conference on the current situation in the HVAC / R sector, with particular reference to the new F-Gas Regulation.
